In this section, you’ll find opportunities to get involved—whether by volunteering, joining school committees like the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), or connecting with local community resources that support our students and school culture.

At Atherton Elementary School, we believe that a strong school community begins with involved and empowered families. There are many meaningful ways parents and guardians can support our students, staff, and programs—every bit of help makes a difference!

Here’s how you can get involved:

  • Join the PTO: Our Parent-Teacher Organization plays a vital role in planning events, supporting teachers, and enhancing student experiences. All are welcome—whether you can volunteer regularly or just occasionally, your input matters!

  • Volunteer Your Time: From school helpers to event setup, field trip chaperones, or library assistants, we’re always grateful for extra hands.  If you have a knack for organization, we need you!

  • Share Your Skills: Are you a gardener, artist, tech expert, or storyteller? Bring your talents to the classroom or school events and inspire our students in new ways.

  • Donate Supplies: Check with your child’s teacher or the front office for needed items—school supplies, tissues, art materials, and more are always appreciated.

  • Support Fundraisers: Participate in school fundraisers, attend community events, or connect us with local businesses who might want to contribute.

  • Stay Informed & Engaged: Attend parent nights, read school newsletters, follow us on social media, and stay up-to-date on what's happening in our school community.
