Dear Atherton Families:

Welcome to a brand-new school year at Atherton Elementary! It is with great pride and excitement that I welcome both our returning families and those who are joining the Atherton family for the first time. Nestled in the heart of Houston's historic 5th Ward, our school carries a deep legacy of excellence, resilience, and community—and we are honored to continue that tradition with you this year.

At Atherton, we believe that every child can thrive when supported by a strong partnership between home and school. We are excited to continue building on the strong foundation of learning, relationships, and community that makes Atherton a special place. This year, our theme, Game On: Level Up!, reflects our commitment to challenging every student to grow academically, build confidence, and reach new levels of success.

Our dedicated teachers and staff are committed to providing high-quality instruction, engaging learning experiences, and the support every child needs to succeed. Every school day counts. Consistent attendance is one of the most important factors in student success, and we appreciate your partnership in ensuring students arrive at school every day, on time, and ready to learn.

Whether you join the PTO, attend school events, or simply take time to talk with your child about their learning each day, your presence matters. We encourage you to stay connected and engaged throughout the year because your involvement makes a lasting difference in your child's success.
