Welcome to a brand new school year at Atherton Elementary! It is with great pride and excitement that I welcome both our returning families and those who are joining the Atherton family for the first time. Nestled in the heart of Houston’s historic 5th Ward, our school carries a deep legacy of excellence, resilience, and community — and we are honored to continue that tradition with you this year.

At Atherton, we believe that every child can thrive when supported by a strong partnership between home and school. Our dedicated teachers and staff are committed to nurturing your child’s academic growth, creativity, and confidence. But we can’t do it alone — your involvement makes all the difference.
